Description	:	Augusta W. Sutter Funeral services for Augusta W. Sutter, 88, of Creighton, were held on Monday, Sept. 21 at 10:30 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Creighton. Reverend Paul Banitt officiated the service with burial following at the Greenwood Cemetery in Creighton. Cheryl Werner, organist, accompanied the congregational hymns How Great Thou Art and Rock of Ages. Pallbearers were Michael Synovec, Quentin Bauer, Zacharey Planer, Nicholas Flesner, Ethan Planer and Shannon Rowley. Augusta Sutter, daughter of Henry and Katherine (Moeller) Wilker, was born April 5, 1910 at Creighton. She died September 17, 1998, at the Lundberg Memorial Hospital in Creighton. Augusta attended East Highland rural school east of Creighton and Grand Island Business College. She was married to Fritz Sutter on February 2, 1931, at Bazile Mills where they first lived before moving seven miles east of Creighton to farm. They lived in Kansas City from 1957 to 1959, and then in Brunswick. Augusta moved to Creighton in 1966 after Fritz died. She was a resident of the Creighton Care Centre at the time of her death. She worked at the Brunswick Nursing home for five years before it closed. She then took care of Grace Johnson for 15 years. Augusta was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Creighton. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Ura Sutter of Pierce; grandchildren and spouses. Pam and Dave Flesner, and Connie and John Planer, all of Pierce, and lee and Doreen Sutter of Clarkville, TN; David and Amber Sutter of Papillion, and Brian and Candace Sutter of Monroe. 14 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Augusta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fritz; two brothers; one sister; and two grandchildren in infancy. The Creighton News 24 Sept 1998
