Description	:	AUSTIN R. WALTER FATALLY INJURED Funeral services for Austin R. Walter, 50, well known auctioneer, of route 2, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday from St Paul EUB Church, south of Vanlue. The pastor, the Rev. Mark Burden, officiated. Burial was in Zion Bloom Cemetery, the Bristoll Funeral Home having been in charge of arrangements. Mr. Walter was killed instantly at 2: 50 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 1963, when his car, eastbound on S.R. 15, went off the road 8 miles north-west of Carey, on the curve west of Ark EUB Church. Dr. R. E. Nelson, deputy coroner of Hancock County, attributed death to a skull fracture and a crushed chest. He ruled the death as accidental. The auto apparently ran off the right side of the road for 277 feet before hitting a utility pole, breaking it off at the ground and tearing down wires. The car traveled another 90 feet, sideswiping a second utility pole and hitting a large fence post, then continued another 89 feet across Hancock County Road 252 and stopped in a corn field. The State Highway Patrol, Findlay post, investigate. Mr. Walter's body was found beside the car on the driver's side. Mr. Walter was born April 3, 1913, in Ridge township to William E. and Clara (Robinson) Walter. He was associated with his brother David as Walter Brothers Auctioneers. Surviving are two children, Jerry B. Walter, Mobile, Ala., and Mrs. Roy (Maxine) Spring, Corunna, Mich.; 5 grandchildren, three brothers, William M. Walter, northwest of Carey, with whom he resided; David and Chester Walter, west of Carey; and four sisters, Mrs. Edgar Thomas, west of Alvada; Mrs. Dewey Ogg, E.
