Description	:	Averill W. Copple CONCORDIA -- Averill W. Copple, 80, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010. He was born October 27, 1929, in Delphos, Kan., to Warren (Bill) and Evelyn (Wiles) Copple. Averill attended country schools. He married Luella Loeffler on June 5, 1948, in Clyde, Kan. She preceded him in death on Sept. 15, 2008. Averill worked for Ross Sand Pit, McFall Tire and over 30 years as a truck driver for Boogaarts. Read More	Averill W. Copple CONCORDIA -- Averill W. Copple, 80, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010. He was born October 27, 1929, in Delphos, Kan., to Warren (Bill) and Evelyn (Wiles) Copple. Averill attended country schools. He married Luella Loeffler on June 5, 1948, in Clyde, Kan. She preceded him in death on Sept. 15, 2008. Averill worked for Ross Sand Pit, McFall Tire and over 30 years as a truck driver for Boogaarts. During that time he also ran his own mechanic, auto repair and radiator shop and worked together with his son-in-law, Bill. Averill was involved in the Dust Devils racing and was a Charter member of Moose Lodge No. 1428. He also was a associate member of American Legion Post No. 76. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Gropp and husband, Bill, and Mae Marie Sanders and husband, Roy, all of Concordia; son, Richard Copple and wife, Angela, of Hollis, Kan.; sister, Wanda Lee Reed and husband, Lee, of Harlingen, Texas; 5 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Luella; parents; and great-grandson, Kohl Gropp. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with family greeting friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 18, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home with the Rev. John States officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. Memorials may be made to SIDS Network and Concordia Senior Citizens Center, in care of Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, 325 W. Sixth St., Concordia, 66901.
