Read More	Avlyn Marietta Taylor was born near Edgar in Nuckolls county, August 19, 1908, and passed away May 5, 1946, at the age of 37 years, eight months and 14 days. At the age of six years she moved with her parents to Oregon. Returning to Nebraska two years later, she lived the remainder of her life in Clay and Nuckolls Counties. She received her schooling in and near Edgar. Very early in life she was baptized into the Lutheran Church. On July 14, 1926, Avyln was united in marriage to Ralph Peters, also of Edgar. To this union were born: three children, Donald Dee, Mary Lee and William Francis, who are at home. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Ralph, three children, a sister, Mrs. Francis Hardesty of North Platte, seven uncles, four aunts, two nieces, a number of cousins and a host of friends. Her mother preceded her in death in 1928 and her father in 1939.Avlyn is best remembered for her friendly spirit and her willingness to help in all times of need. She showed a keen interest in the church and Bible school work and also in the Angus Ladies' Aid where she served as secretary. Funeral services were held at the Angus Christian Church, Wednesday, May 8, 1946, with Glen Moorhead, minister in charge. Harold McGhie sang "In the Garden" and "There Will Be No Tears in Paradise." Mrs. C. Smith was at the piano. Pallbearers were: Mert McCartney, Marvin Elifritz, Marion Devitt, Orin Spurling, Ivan King and Kenneth Grossman. Those in charge of the flowers were Mrs. Cecil Spurling, Mrs. Iona Elifritz, Mrs. Gertie Skinner and Mrs. Beulah McCartney. Burial was made in the Edgar Cemetery. Out-of-town relatives and friends attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Homer Hardesty of North Platte, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Peters of Monmouth, Illinois, Mr. and Mrs. John Ahrens of Arnold, Mrs. Oscar Asmus and Maurice Asmus of Hastings, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Strawser, Margaret Beth and Dorothy of Lincoln, Hazel Melvin Powell of Lincoln, Mr. and Mrs. C.
