His funeral will be from the Presbyterian Church at Essex on Friday, the service to be at 2 p.m. in charge of the Rev. C. D. Loehr and Hackett Funeral Home in charge of arrangements; Burial will be in the cemetery in Essex. Mr. Nelson was born in Sweden and came to Page County when 17 years of age. He was a farro hand on the place which he later bought, and retired form farming about a seven years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson had celebrated their 57th Wedding Anniversary with the family on March 11. His wife, Helga eight children and nine grandchildren are among the supervisors and a boy from Sweden whom they raised with their children, Mauirtz Iverson. The sons are Bruce and Linna, Essex; Dr. Clifford, Jewell, Iowa; and the daughters are Mrs.Delbert (June) Sheppard, Red Oak; Mrs. Harold (Eleanore) Bertram, Shenandoah; Mrs. Darwin (Juanita) DeVoss, Red Oak; Mrs. Carl (Phyllis) Alm, Elliott; Miss Lorraine Nelson, Chicago. Lorraine has been with her parents to assist since late May, Mr. Nelson being ill with a heart condition and her mother being in poor health. His brothers are Aaron Nelson Red Oak and Frank, Essex, and one sister, Mrs. Ann Gustafson, Chicago. He has been an active member of Essex Presbyterian Church.
