Description	:	Immigrated to America in 1882; married Alice Edwards and homesteaded in Kansas in 1885. Parents of five sons: Arthur William (A.W.), Clarence Raymond (C.R.), Azariah Demoses (A.D.), Ulysses Grant (U.G.), and Charles Elias (C.E.). Azariah was elected president of the newly formed Hollis bank in 1913. He was an accomplished farmer, hunter, nurseryman who ran greyhounds competitively. He was hired to rid farms of pests with his ferrets. He canned fruit raised in his vineyards and orchards. Azariah died in 1937 at the age of 74 following a year of failing health.
