Description	:	The dates above are NOT proven! This child was born to Isham Judson Thompson and Martha Jane Armstrong. The dates are based solely that he would have been the oldest child. Following is what we do know about him. His father's obituary states, "He was united in marriage with Martha Jane Armstrong in Jesup, November 5, 1873, to which union were six children of whom one died in infancy." His mother's obituary states, "From the time of their marriage they lived on a farm in Barclay township until 1909, when they moved to Jesup." The dates are based solely that he would have been the oldest child. Following is what we do know about him. His father's obituary states, "He was united in marriage with Martha Jane Armstrong in Jesup, November 5, 1873, to which union were six children of whom one died in infancy." His mother's obituary states, "From the time of their marriage they lived on a farm in Barclay township until 1909, when they moved to Jesup." His brother's (George Thompson) obituary states, "He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Bert, an infant brother, and two sisters, Mrs. Jake Sherman and Mrs. Mindella Avery." Birth records are found in the courthouse for the four youngest children but not for Gertrude May Thompson or Baby Boy which suggests he was born before 1880. As Gertrude was born in 1878 and the parents were married November 1873, there is plenty of room for a baby to be born that would have been older than Gertrude.
