Description	:	Thanks to contributor #48796369 Barbara A. Brady, 71, of Shelton died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Shelton United Methodist Church. The Revs. John Ewton and Hughes B. Morris will officiate. Burial will be in Shelton Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Mrs. Brady was born Nov. 16, 1930, at Shelton to Herb and Marjorie (Hutchings) Withrow. She grew up in Shelton, moving to Wyoming and Colorado. She graduated from high school in Loup City. She married Gene Brady on Feb. 17, 1950, in Lincoln. The couple lived in Lincoln. Later they moved to several western states before returning to western Nebraska. In 1967, they moved to Ogallala and the to Shelton in 1971. She worked as a telephone operator and at the Turner Elevator of Shelton. She later worked as a church school teacher and Circle member, was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, American Legion Auxiliary, a library board member and Housing Authority board member, all in Shelton. She was also a member of the Eastern Star in Grand Island and was an avid Husker football fan. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Mary of Lincoln and Jeb and Dee of Gering; nine grandchildren; a brother, Cecil Travis of Washington state; and a sister, Chole Skeen of Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband in June 2002, and a brother, Gary Withrow. The Grand Island Independent, Nov. 7, 2002
