Description	:	Barbara Ann Dailey, 74, of Belle Fourche, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital. Barbara Ann Belmont was born on March 19, 1937, in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Neville Herbert Belmont and Florence Lillian (Russell) Belmont and was raised in Brooklyn. She attended public school in Brooklyn and was active in the Girl Scouts. She attended Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell where she met Milo Dailey III. Barbara Ann Belmont was born on March 19, 1937, in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Neville Herbert Belmont and Florence Lillian (Russell) Belmont and was raised in Brooklyn. She attended public school in Brooklyn and was active in the Girl Scouts. She attended Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell where she met Milo Dailey III. She married Milo on June 10, 1961, in St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Mitchell. The couple moved to Cambridge, Mass., where Milo graduated from seminary. After Milo's graduation, they moved to Iowa in 1964. They served briefly at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Des Moines before Milo had a charge as minister at Emmetsburg and Algona, Iowa. In 1968 they moved to Deadwood to take charge of St. John's Episcopal Church. They moved to Spearfish All Angels Episcopal Church in 1975 and remained there until 1991 when they moved to Belle Fourche. Barbara completed her bachelor's degree at Black Hills State University and was very active as a substitute teacher in Spearfish and Belle Fourche. Barbara was also very active in Boy Scouting and received the Silver Beaver, the highest BSA volunteer award. In Belle Fourche she was active at St. James Episcopal Church and served on the church vestry. She was a regular volunteer at the Tri-State Museum, and was involved in church charitable activities and the church mutual ministry program. Survivors include three sons James Daniel "Dan" Dailey of Seattle, WA, Milo Dailey IV and Carla of Belle Fourche, Mike Dailey and Jan of Hill City, and a daughter Margaret "Becky" and John Thurston of Corpus Christi, Texas; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; her brothers James "Jimmy" Belmont and Adrienne, Charles "Richie" Belmont and wife, Gloria; her sister, Elizabeth "Betty" and John Vitale of Brooklyn, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Milo and two brothers, Robert and William Belmont. In lieu of flowers, an educational memorial has been established in the name of Barbara Dailey. An online guestbook is available at www.klinefuneralchapel.com. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, at the Kline Funeral Chapel in Belle Fourche. Family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at St. James Episcopal Church in Belle Fourche with Reverend Evelyn Weaver and Reverend Sandy Williams officiating. Burial will be at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis following the funeral services.
