Read More	RI Argus - Wednesday - December 31, 1919 Mrs. Barbara Durler Baer, 85 years of age, a resident of Clinton, Iowa, for 50 years, passed away at 4:30 this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Irving D. Burgh, 902 Twentieth street. She had been ill for two weeks, bronchitis developing in pneumonia. She was born in Zurich, Switzerland, Nov. 13, 1834. She was married to Jacob Baer in 1857, and came with him to the United States and to Clinton in 1907. Mr. Baer died in 1913, and for the past year and a half, Mrs. Baer had resided with her daughter in this city. Surviving are, besides the daughter Mrs. Burgh, one son, John G. Baer of Clinton, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. One son, Jacob, died three years ago. Prayers will be conducted at the home of Mrs. Burgh, at 3:30 tomorrow afternoon, by Rev. W.L. Essex of the Trinity Episcopal church. The remains will then be taken to Clinton, where funeral services will be held from the Evangelical church at 2:30 Friday afternoon. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery in that city. Friends are requested to omit flowers. Daughter - Lissetta (Baer) Burgh -- June 13, 1866 - September 29, 1946 RI Argus - Monday - September 30, 1946 Mrs. Lissetta Baer Burgh, 80, formerly of Rock Island, died yesterday in Los Angeles, Calif., following a long illness, according to word received from a son, Fred Weyerhaeuser Burgh, Reseda, Calif. Mrs. Burgh was born June 13, 1866, in Clinton, Iowa, and was married Sept. 13, 1888, to Irving D. Burgh, son of Colonel and Mrs. Harry B. Burgh, who resided for many years at 1024 Second avenue, Rock Island. Mr. and Mrs. Irving Burgh lived in Clinton, Iowa, LaCrosse, Wis.; and Minneapolis, Minn., where Mr. Burgh died March 23, 1908. Mrs. Burgh then came to Rock Island, where she remained until the early 1920's, after which she moved to California. A younger son, Harry B. Burgh II, died April 18, 1938. Surviving, besides Fred W. Burgh, is a grandson, Douglas, also of California. Cremation will follow funeral services, which will be held in the west.
