Description	:	BARBARA ELLEN SPENCE Barbara Ellen Stickler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Stickler was born in Oglaze (Auglaize) county Ohio, December 19, 1854 and passed away at her home in Unionville, Mo., Tuesday, October 24, 1933 at 8:30 a.m. at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 5 days. She was united in marriage to D. P. Green in November 1874. To this union four children were born. Her husband, one son and ten brothers and sisters have preceded her in death. Read More	BARBARA ELLEN SPENCE Barbara Ellen Stickler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Stickler was born in Oglaze (Auglaize) county Ohio, December 19, 1854 and passed away at her home in Unionville, Mo., Tuesday, October 24, 1933 at 8:30 a.m. at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 5 days. She was united in marriage to D. P. Green in November 1874. To this union four children were born. Her husband, one son and ten brothers and sisters have preceded her in death. She was again united in marriage to G E. Spence May 27, 1930. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband; three children, William of Cincinnati, Elza and Mrs. Gladys Aringdale of Council Bluff, Ia.; and a foster daughter, Mrs. Mabel Rachford of Centerville, Ia.; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Johns (John), of Ottumwa; one sister-in-law, Mrs. J. H. Stickler, of Cincinnati; 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also 4 step-children besides a host of other relatives and friends. She united with the Christian church in Cincinnati many years ago and has been a faithful Christian all her life. Her suffering was almost beyond endurance and everything was done that loving hands could do to alleviate her suffering. She prayed to go that she might not be a burden to anyone, her motto being, "not self but others." Funeral services were held at the Christian church at Cincinnati, Ia., Wednesday, October 25 at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. J. D. Noland with a large congregation of old time friends and neighbors attending.
