Description	:	Mrs. Barbara Helen Sammann, 78, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday morning, August 21, 2014, at the Webb City Health and Rehabilitation Center in Webb City, Missouri, after months of declining health. Barbara began her earthly journey on February 5, 1936, in Shell Rock, Iowa, to the union of the late John and Edna (Hanner) Bolton. Read More	Mrs. Barbara Helen Sammann, 78, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday morning, August 21, 2014, at the Webb City Health and Rehabilitation Center in Webb City, Missouri, after months of declining health. Barbara began her earthly journey on February 5, 1936, in Shell Rock, Iowa, to the union of the late John and Edna (Hanner) Bolton. She was raised in Shell Rock and was a 1954 graduate of Shell Rock High School. On September 15, 1957, she was united in marriage to Bob Sammann and to this union they were blessed with two children. She and Bob left Shell Rock in 1961, moving to Texas for ten years. They resided in Tennessee for two years before moving to Neosho, Missouri in December of 1973. They founded the House of Donuts while living in Neosho. She and Bob have called Anderson, Missouri, home since October of 1974, owning the Ozark Café, The Anderson Donut Shop, Bob Sammann Real Estate and National Realty. Barbara eventually retired in 2001. She enjoyed cooking, caring for her home and spending as much time possible with her grandson, Kyle. Barbara was a member of the Anderson First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Donald, Ronald and Darrell Bolton and Earl Hillman; and three sisters, June Olsovsky, Katherine Nelson and Dorothy Rathe. Barbara is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Bob Sammann of the home; a daughter, Bobbette Devine and husband, Jim, of Webb City, Missouri; a son, Michael Sammann of Concord, New Hampshire; one grandson, Kyle Devine and Jessica Bradley of Joplin, Missouri; a brother, Richard L. Bolton of East Dubuque, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends. Graveside funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at the Riverside Cemetery in Shell Rock, Iowa, with Bro. Alan Dicks officiating. No formal visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers memorials are being directed to the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
