Description	:	Barbara Jancey was born near Pelsen, Bohemia in 1839. She came to America in 1865, settling at Wahoo, Nebraska. The following year, she married James Duffek of Omaha and moved to that city, where she resided until about 1878, when they moved to a homestead near Linwood, Butler, county, Nebraska, where they resided for about two years. They, then, moved to Fremont. From there they moved to a farm near North Bend, Nebraska, where they resided until 1909, when the deceased moved to Tripp county, South Dakota, where she made her home with her daughter, Miss Anna Duffek, on the latter's homestead... Read More	Barbara Jancey was born near Pelsen, Bohemia in 1839. She came to America in 1865, settling at Wahoo, Nebraska. From there they moved to a farm near North Bend, Nebraska, where they resided until 1909, when the deceased moved to Tripp county, South Dakota, where she made her home with her daughter, Miss Anna Duffek, on the latter's homestead near Colome. Here she passed away, Friday, April 12, 1912 due to infirmities of advanced age. She was 75 years old. The remains were shipped to Plainview, Monday of last week. Interment was made in the north cemetery, Monday afternoon. All her children were present, Miss Anna Duffek of Colome, South Dakota, James Duffek of Verdigre, George Duffek of Plainview and Edward Duffek of North Bend. The service was conducted by Rev. Jacob Kolar of this city. A wide circle of friends attend their sympathy to the bereaved family in their hour of sorrow. Mrs. Duffek was a kind and loving mother and a faithful wife.
