Barbara was born July 18, 1927 in Billings, MT to David and Emma Miller. She attended school in Custer, MT and graduated with an Associates Degree in Education at Eastern Montana College. She joined him on the family ranch north... Read More	Obituary for Barbara Jean Osen Barbara Jean Osen, 91, of Big Timber, passed away on July 14, 2019 with her family surrounding her. Barbara was born July 18, 1927 in Billings, MT to David and Emma Miller. She attended school in Custer, MT and graduated with an Associates Degree in Education at Eastern Montana College. She taught elementary education in Hysham, MT and Browning, MT, and taught her last year, the first year the Big Timber Grade School was built. Barbara married Albert on November 7, 1953. She joined him on the family ranch north of Big Timber where they had two sons, Dave and Soot. They later sold the ranch and moved closer to town. Barbara worked at a variety of businesses, including the Boulder Meadows Assisted Living from age 80 to 85. One of her greatest joys in life was to be able to give to many organizations that would benefit others. Barbara was preceded in death by her father and mother, sister Helen and her husband Albert. She is survived by Dave and Carolyn, Soot and Sheresa, 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held July 19, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Evangelical Church in Big Timber, with Interment to follow at the Mountain View Cemetery. Lunch will then be served at the church.
