Description	:	Barbara Jo (DeNoyer) Shields made her journey to the spirit world on August 5, 2022, at the age of 75. A wake will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday August 9, 2022 at Calvary Episcopal Cathedral in Sioux Falls. A second wake will be held starting at 5:00 PM Wednesday at the O'Kreek Community Center, O'Kreek, SD. She attended Todd County school district up to the 8th grade. She married Fredrick Plenty Horse, and they had two daughters together. Barbara later married Donald Williams Sr., and they had seven kids together. She then met Curtis Shields, and they adopted six children together. She raised many of her grandchildren as her own. Barbara was a homemaker and seamstress through out her life. She traveled everywhere with all her kids, grandkids; teaching them dance and enjoying themselves at every powwow. Her favorite places to be were camping either at a powwow or at any campsite. Her relationships with her family built bonds that were unbreakable. She will be deeply missed by her family. She left behind her husband Curtis Shields; her children, Fredericka (Micha) Eagleman, Donald Williams Jr., Sarah (Farron) Stewart, Jenny Williams, Frank Williams, Melvin Williams, Ben Amos Little Jr., Tiffany Mae Plenty Horse, Michael Plenty Horse, Brittany (Ryan) Two Hawks, Tyrell Shields Sr., Silas Shields, Ilea (Lawrence) Shields; her baby Tyrell Shields Jr.; sister Arlene Zanders; her grandkids, nephews and nieces. She was proceeded in death by Willard DeNoyer, Maggie Willard; sons James, Harvey, Albert Williams, Farron and Roger; daughter Marshella Little; brothers Wilson, Eldon, Willard; grandkids, Heather Lynne, Heather Maggie, DJ, Ryan Two Hawks Jr., baby Roy, sisters, Violet Dorian, Carol Burns; and niece Roxanne Little Owl, Donald Williams Sr., Fredrick Plenty Horse, and Big Ben.
