She was born on July 4, 1917, in Windom, Minnesota to Nell and Faney Gibson. She attended school in Minnesota. Betty married Edwin Olf Bergquist on November 11, 1931, in Jackson, Minnesota and they had 4 children together. On December 22, 1946, she married Earl Kitzke in Alexandria, Minnesota and they had 4 sons together. They came to Wenatchee in March of 1952, where she began working as a motel... She was born on July 4, 1917, in Windom, Minnesota to Nell and Faney Gibson. She attended school in Minnesota. Betty married Edwin Olf Bergquist on November 11, 1931, in Jackson, Minnesota and they had 4 children together. On December 22, 1946, she married Earl Kitzke in Alexandria, Minnesota and they had 4 sons together. They came to Wenatchee in March of 1952, where she began working as a motel maid for many years. She was a member of the River of Life Church in Wenatchee. Betty loved Jesus with her whole heart and spent her time and money helping people and serving her Lord. She is survived by her children, Audrey Christensen and her husband Henry of Cashmere, Ardith Streetman of Cashmere, Leola Bagwell and her husband Clifford of Cashmere, Walter Bergquist and his wife Barbara of Casper, Wyoming, Reggie Kitzke of Wenatchee and Ken Kitzke of Texas; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 13 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Olf Bergquist in September of 1957; her son, Ron Kitzke in 1986; her husband, Earl Kitzke in 1991; and her son, Gary Kitzke in 2000. Services of commemoration will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2004, at Betts Funeral Service with Pastor Jesus DePaz and Pastor Russell Espinoza oficiating. Graveside service will follow at Wenatchee City Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 13, 2004, from noon to 5 p.m. and Thursday, October 14, 2004, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Services are under the care of Betts Funeral Service.
