Read More	Beatrice Mary McCall, 81, of Mapleton passed away Monday, May 10, 2004, at Maple Heights Nursing Home in Mapleton. Beatrice Mary (Jacoby) was born in Mapleton to Henry and Catherine (Flammang) Jacoby on November 26, 1922. She was one of nine children and the eldest daughter. She had been a part of the Mapleton area her entire life and had graduated from the eighth grade at St. Mary's Catholic School in 1936. She helped and cared for the young and old in their homes by doing housework and baking for many families. She had worked at First State Bank as a cleaning lady. She was most proud of working at Well's Blue Bunny ice cream factory in Le Mars, Iowa. She also worked at the overall factory in LeMars. On September 5, 1949, she married Vincent Everett McCall of Ute, Iowa. She was a member of the American Legion Loren Hollister Post 496 Auxiliary for more than 50 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Guild and Royal Neighbors. She enjoyed working with her husband, taking care of and selling honey for many years. She was famous for making her many delicious homemade chocolate cakes and other baked products and enjoyed welcoming the many people who came visiting. Survivors include three daughters, Joan McCall Copple of Sloan, Iowa, Margaret McCall Moss and Patricia "Patty" McCall, both of Mapleton; six grandchildren; a special friend like a daughter, Rhonda (Sammons) Friedrichsen; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Kathleen James of Sioux City, Isabel Steele of Ida Grove, Iowa, and Theresa (Mrs. Bob) Diimig of Danbury; five special people whom she loved and welcomed as her own grandchildren, Andrea, Colt, Caleb, Rena and Kara; and many nieces, nephews, close friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Everett McCall; her parents, Henry and Catherine Jacoby; a sister, Sister Mary Frances Warner; four brothers, John, Silvan, her twin Bennedict and Anthony Jacoby; a grandson, Chad Everett Copple; and a son-in-law, Gary W. Moss.
