He retired from the Cateechee plant of Woodside Mills and also was retired from farming. Mr. Trotter was a member of Mohawk Baptist Church. Survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. W.C. Coggins of Travelers Rest; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild; three brothers, Henry Trotter of Greenville, George Trotter and Thomas Trotter, both of Powdersville,... Funeral services: Tuesday, January 7, 1964, Kings Grove Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Johnny Littleton and Rev. James Hadaway. Burial: Gantt Memorial Park. Pallbearers: Bill Orr, Charles Orr, Billy Ray Orr, Houston Merck, Bobby Merritt, Raymond Trotter, John Iva Hendricks, and Lonnie Watt, Jr. Honorary Escort: Deacons of Kings Grove Baptist Church, along with Floyd Pilgrim, Hone Kelley, Olin Craig, Jr., Raymond Barrett, Raymond James, Namon Kelley, Johnston Craig, Dr. R.A. Allgood, H.s. Anderson, and Lewis Looper. As was still the custom of the day, his remains were returned to the family home for visitation until the time of the funeral.
