Mrs. McFadden, a native of Illinois, came to Holyoke community as a very small child and spent most of her life here. She moved to Denver several years ago and made her home there with her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Veech. Also surviving is a son, G.P. "Mickey" McFadden, of Holyoke. She had been a Sheridan Manor resident since early March 1966. Gerald Dingman officiating. Interment was at Holyoke Memorial Park. Mrs. McFadden, who had been a resident of Sheridan Manor Nursing Home for the past six months, passed away at about noon on July 25, 1966. She had been in declining health for the past several months. Eva Belle White was born December 16, 1884 in Illinois. She was one of nine children born to Robert and Julia A. Mathews White. When she was two years of age she moved with her family to the Holyoke community where they settled on a tree claim north of Holyoke. Mrs. McFadden attended public schools in Holyoke and on June 16, 1903 she was united in marriage to Arbie W. McFadden. Mr. McFadden worked as a printer and mail carrier most of his life and passed away in November 1941. To this union two children were born. They are Mrs. Ruth Veech, Denver, and Gerald, Holyoke. Mrs. McFadden with her husband was fond of music. She and her husband sang with a quartet composed of Mrs. Anna White and Guy Bereman. She joined the Methodist church as a young lady. Her parents were charter members of the church. Belle was a member of the Royal Neighbors of American which she joined in 1923. Her parents and her brothers and sisters, with the exception of a foster sister, Mrs. Charles V. McCalla (Kathrine) of Burlington Junction, Missouri, preceded her in death. Mrs. McFadden is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Veech, Denver, and Gerald P. Holyoke; one foster sister, Mrs. Charles V. McCalla, Burlington Junction, Missouri; two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. In Holyoke to attend the services were: Mr. and Mrs. William Easley, Denver; Mrs. Edwin Crane, Iowa City, Iowa; Mrs. Edna Roberts, Imperial, Mrs. McCalla, and Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Brunken of New Raymer.
