Burial was in Alzada cemetery. Belle Z Coffman was born January 15, 1868 at Schubert, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Leander Crofford January 23, 1887. In ? the family moved from Nebraska to Wyoming, locating on a homestead 5 miles southwest of Alzada, where she spent the remainder of her life. Mrs Crofford was the mother of four children, one preceding the mother in death. Surviving are the husband, daughters, Mrs. Frank M Reimer, Markleeville, Calif; Mrs. Al Olsen, Elko, Nev.; Mrs George Thompson of Alzada. Her philosophy of life is expressed in the following verse: 'Question not, but live and labour Till yon goal be won, Helping every feeble neighbour, Seeking help from none; Life is mostly froth and bubble, Two things stand like stone - KINDNESS in another's trouble, COURAGE in your own.'
