Description	:	Thanks to contributor #48796369. Ben J. Koziol, 72, of Grand Island, formerly of Fullerton, died Monday, Jan. 4, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Leo's Catholic Church. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. in the Fullerton Catholic Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Wednesday at the church. Palmer Funeral Home of Fullerton is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Koziol was born on June 11, 1926, at Osceola to Leo and Agnes (Gembica) Koziol. He moved with his family at an early age to Fullerton, where he attended country schools and graduated from Fullerton High School in 1944. He served in the U.S. Navy for two years. He attended Doane College for three years. He then returned to Fullerton, where he farmed. He married Genevieve Egnoske on Sept. 18, 1950, at Fullerton. They moved to Grand Island in 1987. He continued to farm at Fullerton. He went to work at St. Francis Medical Center in 1988 and was serving as security supervisor. He enjoyed farming and was an avid football fan. He was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, American Legion Post 151 of Fullerton and the Eagles Club of Fullerton. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Fred and Kevin, both of Fullerton; two daughters, Jane Bergantzel of Fairfield and Becki (Mrs. Troy) Jensen of Lincoln; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Clifford and Edward, both of Fullerton; and five sisters, Cecilia (Mrs. Don) Cheshier of Fremont, Christine Haberer of Hastings, Monica (Mrs. Darrell) Rork of Grand Island, Elenor Santin of Palmer and Evelyn (Mrs. Raymond) 0.
