Benjamin Ford, son of Ben and Elizabeth Ford, was born in Boone, Iowa, on October 8, 1863, and passed away at the home of his son, Walter, at Van Meter on July 23, 1947. he was united in marriage to Catherine Hughes in O'Neil, Nebraska, on March 23, 1890. To this union wre born seven children, four sons and three daughters. Benjamin Ford, son of Ben and Elizabeth Ford, was born in Boone, Iowa, on October 8, 1863, and passed away at the home of his son, Walter, at Van Meter on July 23, 1947. he was united in marriage to Catherine Hughes in O'Neil, Nebraska, on March 23, 1890. To this union wre born seven children, four sons and three daughters. After his marriage, Mr Ford spent several years in Nebraska and Missouri, returning to Boone in 1903, where he spent the rest of his life. He worked for the City of Boone for a number of years. He was a faithful member of the Christian Church and the Kum Bak Clas for many years. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, one brother, three sisters, three daughters, and one son. He leaves to mourn his depature, his wife, of Boone; three sons Samuel of Knoxville, Iowa, Albert of Randall, Iowa, and Walter of Van Meter, Iowa; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs Susie Dudley, of Wyo; and two brothers, John of Missouri, and Hayes of St. Joseph Missouri. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Loren R. Hudson, at the Central Church of Christ, at two o'clock, on July 25, 1947. Mrs S. T. Tesdahl and Mrs. Frank Mershon sang, accompanied by Mrs Joe Markey. The pallbearers were R. A. Cartwright, Fred Case, Godfrey Lundquist, Harry Hamilton, Vic Lander and Dave Clark. The flower committee was Mrs T. L Jones, Mrs Francis Cutler, Mrs Cora Veale, and Mrs R. E. Patterson Sr. Burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery.
