Description	:	Benjamine Franklin Harrison passed away at 9:30 a.m. July 14, at the age of 64 years. He was born in Preston, Iowa July 4, 1881 and when 3 years of age the family moved to Maquoketa, Iowa. He was educated in the rural schools at Hurstville and in 1895 entered the employ of the city. At the age of 21 he enlisted in the state militia and served out his term of enlistment. Later he was employed by Ross Doran as garage mechanic for a number of years. ... Read More	Benjamine Franklin Harrison passed away at 9:30 a.m. July 14, at the age of 64 years. He was born in Preston, Iowa July 4, 1881 and when 3 years of age the family moved to Maquoketa, Iowa. He was educated in the rural schools at Hurstville and in 1895 entered the employ of the city. At the age of 21 he enlisted in the state militia and served out his term of enlistment. Later he was employed by Ross Doran as garage mechanic for a number of years. He married to Nellie Chase in 1918 and to this union 2 children were born. His wife passed away April 1, 1927. In his younger days he became a member of the Congregational Church in this city. He enjoyed excellent health until 2 years ago, when he was compelled to give up his work and 3 months ago entered the state hospital in Iowa City for treatment, later returning home where he had been a patient at City Memorial Hospital for the past several days. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Fizer, of Savanna, Illinois: and Mrs. Ruth Minneart, of Maquoketa: and one brother Fred, of Clinton: and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at 2:00 at Carson & Balster Funeral Home, Reverend C. Edward Holyoke officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
