Description	:	Benjamin was the son of Ephraim B. and Elizabeth Leonard Jones. He enlisted in the Ohio Battery when he was twenty-three. He served three years in the war of the rebellion. He re-enlisted in the twelve months service and remained until the end of the war. On May 10 1867 he married Elizabeth Mark. She was the seventh child of Johathan Mark and was born October 6, 1846 in Fayette County, Ohio. They lived in Ohio until 1875 when they moved to Knoxville, Iowa.
