Description	:	PIXLEY, BENJAMIN F., wagon-maker and wheelwright; born in Marietta, Iowa, Dec. 12, 1810; learned his trade in Marietta, and lived there until 33 years of age. He married Miss Lydia V. Conner, from Marietta, Ohio, on Christmas Day, 1833; they came to Iowa and located in Mt. Pleasant in the spring of 1843. Mr. Pixley came here and selected this place the year previous; were early settlers; he engaged in wagon-making, and has worked at the business longer than any man in the county, and probably longer than any one in the State.
