Description	:	Mr. Johnson was born in Highland Co., Ohio in the year 1893. He came west in the year 1842 and settled near the place where he has since resided a period of over 50 years. He rode from Ohio to Iowa on horseback. Mr. Johnson was a man that seemed to enjoy life, and very few of his acquaintances have not heard him tellof his experiences during the years of his frontier life. Read More	Mr. Johnson was born in Highland Co., Ohio in the year 1893. He came west in the year 1842 and settled near the place where he has since resided a period of over 50 years. Mr. Johnson was a man that seemed to enjoy life, and very few of his acquaintances have not heard him tellof his experiences during the years of his frontier life. His entire freedom from hypocrisy and deceit won him the esteem of all who knew him naturally very kind hearted always feeling for others woes. He often visited the sick; many times staying for days trying to do something for a sick neighbor or friend. He was a great lover of home and family, and at his home all met a kindly welcome.Mr. Johnson was raised a Quaker, but was liberal in his religious beliefs. His last sickness was protracted for many weeks, but never a murmur escaped his lips. All his family were at his side when he passed away. The funeral took place from the home Sunday, Sept 3. A large concourse of friemds followed the remains to the last resting place
