Van Buren, daughter of William A and Maude (Vibbard) Howard was born on a farm near Royal, Feb 2 1908 and passed away at St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, KS, Feb 23 1994. She was the third child in her parent's family of ten. Most of her childhood years were spent in Knox County. She attended Verdigre High School completing the 10 grad. She was married Benjamin H. Van Buren Mar. 13 1925 at Center. They lived and farmed in Knox County near Verdigre while raising their Five Children. Survivors include a son Oscar of Omaha, daughters Ima Shutt, of Wichita, KS, Emma Kotrous of Verdigre, Norma Lee Croxen of Creighton; 26 Grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, brothers John Howard of Baltimore, MD, Fred Howard of Belgrade and sister Ella Van Every of O'Neill.
