Bennett was an honored pillar to his community, a devoted Christian and husband, a very proud father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He would bring a smile with his encouraging words to everyone he met. He touched many lives with his humble kindness, and always made others feel special, loved and cared for. He was a farmer, he and his brother Kenneth owned and operated Baucom Brothers Farm and Milling, for over 25 years. He was a Charter Member and staple to Hope Second Advent Christian Church, where he was a Sunday School Teacher, and served as the Choir Director for over 44 years. Bennett is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years Reba Rollins Baucom Three sons: Clancy Cleveland Baucom - by 1st wife Judy Lane Rushing Baucom Latham - (Kim), Kenneth Darren Baucom (Celeste), Charlie Bennette Baucom (Brittany) Two daughters: Donna Renee Baucom Miller Rebecca Lane Baucom Riffle (Wes), Brother, Dennis Baucom (Barbara) Sister, Joy Ruth Baucom (Burton) Thirteen grandchildren: Kenneth Baucom (Brittany) Chelsea Baucom Sawyer Baucom Kendra Baucom Camden Baucom Callie Baucom Chet Miller Carmen Baucom Ben Riffle Marley Riffle Blakely Baucom Gates Baucom Dawson Baucom Isaac Baucom Great-grandchild, Madelyn Hamrick The family will receive friends Monday, August 5, 2019 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.
