Description	:	Ben P. Klaver, 77, lifelong Kamrar area resident, died early this morning at the Story City Memorial hospital. He had been ill the past week. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian church near Kamrar with the Rev. Marvin Camp officiating and with burial in the Presbyterian cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Foster Funeral home until 9:30 a.m. Thursday when it will be taken to the church. Ben P. Klaver, son of Philip and Ricksta Ubben Klaver, Sr. was born July 14, 1896 at Kamrar. He attended the rural schools near Kamrar. During World War I, he served with the U.S. Army. He was married April 30,1919 to Ollie Naber, and the couple made their home in Kamrar where he was employed by his uncle, Lucas Smith, in the carpentry trade. In 1920, the family began farming south of Kamrar. In 1932, they moved to their farm northeast of Kamrar where they farmed until they retired in 1956 and moved into Kamrar. He is survived by his wife; two sons and one daughter, Vern A. Klaver of Williams, Mrs. Carl (Erma) Mamminga of Blairsburg and Leo J. Klaver of Kamrar; seven grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, Mrs. Adolph (Bina) Trampel, Kamrar, Walter Klaver, Kamrar, George Klaver, Jewell, Philip Klaver, Webster City, and Elsie Klaver of Kamrar. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ortha Mae, in 1929; by his parents; one brother, Joe P. Klaver, and a sister, Mrs. Grace Barkema. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church and had served as post commander of the Jewell American Legion post.
