Handley was born May 26, 1862, departed this life August 12, 1897, aged 35 years, two months and 18 days. At an early age he united with the Presbyterian Church of Hillsboro. He was united in marriage with Lizzie E. Barrow November 28, 1895. Though for years a sufferer, in the last few, he, in a measure regained his health and it was hoped by his friends to be permanent. But disease seized upon him again, and the decline was rapid. He was an affectionate brother, a devoted son, and a loving husband, tender, patient and true. To the friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted during our recent bereavement of husband and brother, we extend heartfelt thanks.
