Description	:	Bernard A. "Bernie" Griesdorn, 79, died at 6:16 p.m. Jun. 22, 2013, at Wyngate Assisted Living. He was born May 10, 1934, in St. Marys to Edward P. and Anna J. Brunswick Griesdorn, who preceded him in death. On Nov. 23, 1957, he married Norma Queen, who survives in Lima. They were married for 55 years. Mr. Griesdorn was a 1952 graduate of St. Rose Catholic High School. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He was a Navy veteran. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 21 and Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed golfing and fishing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Survivors also include three sons, Edward A. Griesdorn, of Columbus, Craig A. Griesdorn, of Elida, and Daniel C. (Haley) Griesdorn, of Sarasota, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jordin A. Griesdorn, of Elida, Andrew D. Griesdorn, of Columbus, and Amber M. Griesdorn, of Lima; a sister, Joanne Brownlee, of Struthers; a brother, Jack (Cecelia) Griesdorn, of Lima; and a sister-in-law, Mary (Jim) Lyons, of Kingsport, Tenn. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Charles Catholic Church. Father Stephen Blum will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. Lima News June 24, 2013
