| Description | : | BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION FOR BERNARD EITING Born February 23, 1822, baptized February 24, 1822 at St. Georg Catholic Church, Bocholt, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, the son of Wilhelm Eiting and Joanna Doeinck. Bernard Eiting (age 27) and Anton Eiting (age 25) emigrated to America on the ship Manchester which left Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and landed in Philadelphia on November 6, 1848. Married Petronella Giesbert on April 1, 1850 in Brown County, Wisconsin. They farmed near Holland in Brown County until 1878 when they moved to Center Township, Butler County, Nebraska.
