Description	:	Bernard Matthew Reinmiller, the son of John and Frances (Schneberger) Reinmiller, was born at Staplehurst, Nebraska, on March 1, 1909, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 7, 1989, at the age of 79 years, 10 months, and 6 days. He received his schooling at Staplehurst, and St. Francis Academy at Columbus, and graduated from Seward High School. He taught rural school in Seward County for 2 years following graduation. Read More	Bernard Matthew Reinmiller, the son of John and Frances (Schneberger) Reinmiller, was born at Staplehurst, Nebraska, on March 1, 1909, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 7, 1989, at the age of 79 years, 10 months, and 6 days. He received his schooling at Staplehurst, and St. Francis Academy at Columbus, and graduated from Seward High School. He taught rural school in Seward County for 2 years following graduation. In 1936 he was graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Husbandry. During his college days he served as a guard at the Boy's Reformatory in Lincoln. After graduation, he accepted a position with the Farm Security Administration, in Aurora, which he held for 3 years until he purchased his own business. The Aurora Seed and Supply Farm business, fertilizing, and cattle feeding, were where his heart was for the next 20 or so years. To help with the war effort, he let a friend run his store while he worked as a Quality Control Officer at the Army Ammunition Depot in Grand Island. On September 2, 1939, he was married to Leona Geiger, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Elm Creek. Three children were born to them, Jeanne Johnson and Mary Davis, both of Anchorage, Alaska, and John Phillip, who preceded him in death in 1969. Bernard was a 40 year Honorary Member of the Knights of Columbus, having joined the York Council first, then his membership was transferred to the Aurora Council as a Charter Member. He was a longtime and faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora. He was also a 40 year Honorary Member of the Aurora Lion's Club, having been a charter member and served in various offices, including secretary to the District Governor. Bernard was a Hamilton County judge for 7 years, until his retirement in 1972. In 1981, he was diagnosed as having Alzheimer's disease, and was placed in the Hamilton Manor Nursing Home on September 24, 1982. He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Jack, leaving his wife Leona, daughters Jeanne and Mary, 6 grandchildren, his step-mother Jeanette Reinmiller, 4 brothers, Cletus of Omaha, Mike of Lincoln, Otis of Staplehurst and Ron of Eulis, Texas, one sister Joyce Arthaud of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral Services were held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 11, 1989 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Catholic Cemetery.
