He grew up in Beresford where he received his education, graduating from Beresford High School in 1944. Neuroth, 82, of Sioux Falls, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center. Bernie was born August 3, 1926 at Beresford, SD. He grew up in Beresford where he received his education, graduating from Beresford High School in 1944. Upon graduation, he entered military service and served in the US Army from February of 1945 until receiving his honorable discharge in August of 1947. He was united in marriage with LaVonne (Bonnie) Helgeson on August 21, 1948 in Sioux Falls, SD. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Sioux Falls where Bernie was self employed as a painting contractor. He worked in that capacity for over 50 years, retiring in 1997. He and his wife, Bonnie were charter members of St. Lambert Catholic Parish in Sioux Falls. Bernie was also a former member of the VFW. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Bonnie Neuroth, of Sioux Falls SD; his children, Stephanie (Chubber) Neuroth, of Sioux Falls, SD, Sandra (James) Brown, of Yankton, SD, Sheri (Mike) Olawsky, Suzanne Neuroth, Shannon (Ted) Feekes, and Scott (Kelly) Neuroth, all of Sioux Falls, SD, Joe (Kathy) Neuroth of Harrisburg, SD, John (Janet) Neuroth of Casper, WY, Lisa Neuroth and Kelly Neuroth, both of Sioux Falls, SD; 22 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; two brothers, Ray Neuroth and Gene Neuroth, both of Sioux Falls, SD; and one sister, Magdalene Keber of Spalding, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Jay, Jim, and Leslie; and one sister, Iona. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2:00 pm Friday at St. Lambert Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will begin at 6:00 pm Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Main Avenue location. A scripture service will begin at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
