Description	:	Bernard Virgil Miller, one of six children of William H. and Phoebe (Cox) Miller, was born on a farm near Mt. Clare, Nebraska, on December 13, 1903. He was injured in an automobile accident on August 16, 1977, and died at the Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado, on October 6, 1977, at the age of 73 years and 10 months. Read More	Bernard Virgil Miller, one of six children of William H. and Phoebe (Cox) Miller, was born on a farm near Mt. Clare, Nebraska, on December 13, 1903. He was injured in an automobile accident on August 16, 1977, and died at the Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado, on October 6, 1977, at the age of 73 years and 10 months. He was raised and grew up near Mt. Clare and lived his entire life there. With his brother, Berness, they farmed and operated a dairy. Bernard was married to Anna Andersen on March 14, 1929, at Nelson. In 1979 they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. To this union were born three children. He was baptised on May 5, 1946, at Grand Island by Pastor Robert Whitsett. The Seventh Day Adventist Church was an important part of his life. He served as a deacon and was a member of the church for 31 years. Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Lori Ann Underwood; and a brother, Joe. Survivors include his widow, Anna; two daughter (sic), Betty (Mrs. Lincoln Underwood) of Cortez, Colorado, and Carolyn (Mrs. Howard Engeberg) of Durango, Colorado; son, Dr. Bill Miller of Sedalia, Colorado; two brothers, Berness and Walter Miller, both of Mt. Clare; two sisters, Clemence (Mrs. Carter Lewis) and Susie (Mrs. Jim Lassiter) both of Farmington, New Mexico; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel, Superior, Monday morning, October 10, with Pastor Marton Lockwood and Pastor George White officiating. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery. Casketbearers were Bill Schendt, Ronald Buescher, Max Lanham, John Bilbro, George Nelson and Erwin Nelson. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, October 13, 1977; pg. 6
