She passed away Wednesday, October 20, 1993 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley at the age of 78. At 4 years of age, Berneice moved by train with her parents to Amherst. Weber of Holyoke was born March 14, 1915 at Wanda, Nebraska to Herman and Martha (Roeder) Einspahr. She passed away Wednesday, October 20, 1993 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley at the age of 78. At 4 years of age, Berneice moved by train with her parents to Amherst. They made their home nine miles north of Holyoke. Berneice attended Morning View Country School. Her parents both died in 1928. Following their death, her sister and brother-in-law Mayme and Fred Crawford took Berneice, her brother and sisters to live with them at their home five miles north and one and one-half miles west of Amherst. While living there she finished her education at Fairydel Country School. Berneice was baptized in the Christian faith on September 10, 1919 at Zion (Wanda) Lutheran Church at Juniata, Nebraska. She reaffirmed her faith through the Rite of Confirmation in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amherst on May 22, 1929. Berneice worked cleaning houses until January 19, 1936 when she was united in marriage to Arthur H. Weber. Following their marriage they lived on a farm southeast of Amherst. Art passed away December 4, 1965. In February of 1969 Berneice began working for Ervin Byrkit at Farmco Reality. She also received her GED in July of 1969. She remained on the farm until 1971 when she moved to Holyoke. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amherst until her move to Holyoke when she joined Zion Lutheran Church where she remained active and continued to live out her commitment to her Lord and Savior until the time of her death. Berneice was a member of the Amherst Extension Club, St. Paul's Lutheran Ladies Aid, the Mothers' Hot Lunch Program in Amherst and the Holyoke Bowling Association. At the time of her death she was active in Holyoke Ladies Golf Association and the Mary and Martha Bible Study Circle at Zion Lutheran Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Art and sisters Mayme and Velma. Survivors include daughters Betty Schnitker and husband Dick of Colorado Springs and Elaine Pugh and husband Lucky of Holyoke; son Larry and wife Sharon of Amherst; nine grandchildren; brother Marvin Einspahr of Holyoke; sisters Gladys Wandless and Ruby Benker of Julesburg and Alvina Folker of North Platte, Nebraska; 10 nieces; and eight nephews. Services were held Saturday, October 23, 1993 at Zion Lutheran Church in Holyoke with Rev. Gary Rahe officiating. Burial followed in Holyoke Memorial Park.
