She graduated from Bozeman High School in 1950 and received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Montana State University, on March 17, 1949, she married Paul N. Milam in Bozeman, MT. Paul survives at the family home in Bigfork. Paul and Bernice lived in lived in York, NB., and Kalispell, MT., where he was in the greenhouse business. In 1955, they moved to Eureka, MT., at which time Paul began his teaching career. In 1957, they moved to Bigfork, where he was a teacher, coach and principal at Bigfork High School. Since 1961 her familyhas been involved in the sheep and cattle business in southern Garfield County in eastern MT. Bernice is survived by her sons, Craig R. Milam and wife Michelle A. of Frenchtown and Gary N. and wife Reene of Bozeman, MT.; brother, Sivert O. Mysse of Ingomar; and grandsons, Russell and Bradley Milam of Bozeman, MT. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sivert O. and Bertha Mysse; brother,Merton Mysse; sister Marie Straw; and grandson, Christopher Jason Milam "Miss Me - But Let Me Go" When I come to the end of the road, and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom - filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not to long and not with your heads bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared: Miss me -- but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take, and each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan, a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know. And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss me -- but let me go -- Author unknown Private family services are planned for a later date.
