The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, March 2, 1967 ============================ Mrs. Bernice Stoner was born June 24, 1879 (sic)in Ohio and passed away at the Good Samaritan Home in Nelson February 27 (sic), 1967, where she had been a resident for over the past two years. At the age of 12 she came to Nebraska with her parents and two brothers and four sisters. She was graduated from the Nelson Public Schools, and was married to Albert J. Stoner in 1900. Mrs. Stoner was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Nelson, which she joined in 1898, and was a past 50 year member of P.E.O. She was preceeded (sic) in death by her parents, four sisters and two brothers as well as her husband. She is survived by a niece, Mrs. Katherine Marr, who was formerly of Nelson, and one other niece and a nephew. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Peter Vanderveen at the First Presbyterian Church of Nelson. Special music was provided by Mrs. Verlene Gharring and Mrs. oseph (sic) Ferebee, who sang "In The Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross", accompanied by Mrs. Esther Wehrman, who played the organ. Casket bearers were Homer B. Werrman (sic), Sr., George Cowsky, O.P. Porter, Earl Schufeldt, Glenn Oltmans, and Guy Bruce. Arrangements were by the Klawitter Funeral Home of Nelson and interment was at the Nelson Cemetery, where the women of the Nelson PEO had a special service followed by the commital service by Rev.
