Read More	Obit in Newspaper- Dec 4 1964 B J POSEGATE rites Monday Bernice J (Peck) Posegate, 65, Delhi, died about 2 p.m. Friday at his home. He had been in ill health for the past year. Borm in Ames, he graduated from Ames High School, where he was one of three freshmen in school history to win a major football letter. He played four years of football at Ames High and also for Iowa State Teachers college, where he was president of the TC club. An employee of the Iowa State Highway Commission, he lived at Cedar Rapids for 18 years and at Manchester for 12 years. Ill health forced his retirement about two years ago. He was a veteran of World War 1 and World War II. Mr Posegate was a member of the Masonic bodies and a past commander of teh American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; a brother, E. Clark Posegate of Ames and two sisters, Mrs C.C. Ross and Mrs Doris Madson. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. Wesley A. Anderson of First Baptist Church officiating. Masonic services will be hled at the funeral home; the American Legion will be in charge of graveside services at Ames Municipal Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home until time of services. ******************
