Description	:	Bernice W. Zingg, 96, of Denver, died Friday morning, October 19, 2012 at the Denver Sunset Home. Bernice was born on December 22, 1915 on the family farm in Bremer County near Klinger, the daughter of Heinrich W. and Anna Sophia Schumacher Kehe. She was baptized on January 15, 1916 and confirmed by Rev. Louis Yockey at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Klinger. Following parochial school, she worked in various households. Read More	Bernice W. Zingg, 96, of Denver, died Friday morning, October 19, 2012 at the Denver Sunset Home. Bernice was born on December 22, 1915 on the family farm in Bremer County near Klinger, the daughter of Heinrich W. and Anna Sophia Schumacher Kehe. She was baptized on January 15, 1916 and confirmed by Rev. Louis Yockey at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Klinger. Following parochial school, she worked in various households. On March 1, 1937, she was united in marriage to John D. Zingg at Gresham Redeemer Lutheran Church, rural Dunkerton. He preceded her in death on July 2, 2005. The couple farmed in Bremer, Black Hawk, and Grundy County before moving to Denver. Bernice worked at Associated Manufacturing in Waterloo during World War II and later was employed at Harry's Lunch, Black's Tea Room and the Denver Sunset Home. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, WELCA. 541/2 Group, and the Friendship Circle. She enjoyed making quilts for Lutheran World Relief and spending time with her neighbors, relatives and friends. She is survived by her sisters, Elsie Kehe of Waterloo, Elvira Hebell of Denver, and Darlene (Robert) Mastain of Hudson; a sister-in-law Joyce Kehe of Readlyn, three nephews, four nieces, three great nephews, four great nieces, and two great great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Virgil Kehe. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 22. 2012 at Garden View Chapel with burial will at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Denver. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Monday. Memorials may be directed to the Denver Sunset Home or the Donor's choice.
