She was born June 13, 1906, in Beattie, to Henry T. and Margaret Ramsey Boggs Martin, and she spent her early life in the Vliets community in Marshall County. She was a seamstress. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Vermillion and served as church secretary several years. She married Fred J. Isaman Sept. 16, 1924, in Marysville. Isaman, 93, Vermillion, died Sunday, July 18, 1999, at a Frankfort care home. She was born June 13, 1906, in Beattie, to Henry T. and Margaret Ramsey Boggs Martin, and she spent her early life in the Vliets community in Marshall County. She was a seamstress. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Vermillion and served as church secretary several years. She married Fred J. Isaman Sept. 16, 1924, in Marysville. They lived north of Vliets many years before they moved into Vermillion in 1963. He died July 14, 1978. A son, Robert Isaman, died in 1988. Survivors include a son, Glen Isaman, Vermillion; sisters, Mabel Hodges, Vermillion, and Mary Shirely, Sumner, Wash.; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Vermillion. Burial will be in Vermillion City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hayes-Popkess Funral Home in Centralia. Memorial contributions may be made to the Frankfort Care Home, 66427, or to the United Methodist Church in Vermillion, 66544.
