She was born on Dec. 27, 1914, in Montrose, the daughter of Arthur E. and Gertrude Duggan Fowler. She married Glen R. Petty on July 26, 1933, in Burlington. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1993. She had been employed at Sheller-Globe in Keokuk and also at the Knotty Pine Motel and Restaurant. Mrs. Petty was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan. She was born on Dec. 27, 1914, in Montrose, the daughter of Arthur E. and Gertrude Duggan Fowler. She married Glen R. Petty on July 26, 1933, in Burlington. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1993. She had been employed at Sheller-Globe in Keokuk and also at the Knotty Pine Motel and Restaurant. Mrs. Petty was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan. She enjoyed doing needlepoint and taking care of her yard and flowers. Survivors include: a son, Gary Petty and his wife, Connie, of Keokuk; eight grandchildren, Pam Nuss, Mike Petty, Mark Petty, Tom Petty, Kathy Coop, Uda Kensett, Jess Petty and Kelly Petty; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Lee Petty; a brother, Lloyd Fowler; and a sister, Hilda Brisby. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, with the Rev. Fred Lohman officiating. Burial will be in the Sandusky Cemetery. Visitation is today at the funeral home, with family meeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Hope Haven or the donor's choice.
