Boettger, 79, of 1029 Bruce, died unexpectedly at Elsie's Nursing Home Monday at 7:30 p.m. She was born May 30, 1884, in Wapello County, the daughter of John and Margaret Huffman Benson. She had lived in Ottumwa and Wapello County all of her life. Surviving are her husband, Otto; one son, Albert Bower of Ottumwa; two daughters, Mrs. Pansy Hartman and Mrs. Edna Hainline of Ottumwa; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one-great-great-grandson. She was the last of a family of 14 children. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. A.D. Pringle of the Ottumwa Baptist Temple officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
