Bertha E. Riedman, 90 of Connersville, passed away at 2:30 PM Monday, May 28, 2012 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home where she had been a resident since October 2006. She was born July 13, 1921 in Ohio, the daughter of Dudley and Alberta Carter Williams; she moved with her family to Connersville in her younger years and graduated from Connersville High School. On November 20, 1941, she was married in St. Gabriel Church to John E. Riedman of Connersville; he was the former president of Riedman Motors he passed away February 23, 2008. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; she was a member of St. Gabriel Church and Phi Chi Epsilon Sorority in her leisure, she enjoyed cooking, collecting culinary recipes, bowling and golf but especially spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren. Survivors include seven children..., twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; she was also blessed with a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, a son-in-law, Jim Creech, a great-grandson, two brothers, Kelly Williams and Everett 'Doe' Williams. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gabriel Church at 2 PM Friday, June 1, 2012 with Monsignor J. J. Riedman and Rev. Stanley J. Herber, officiating; burial will be in St. Michaels Cemetery, Brookville, Indiana family and friends may call from 12 PM until the time of the Mass at St. Gabriel Church.
