Description	:	Bertha F. Bias, 88, of South Charleston, formerly of Boone County, went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 14, 2007, at the Valley Center of South Charleston, following a long illness. She was born Dec. 19, 1918, to the late Oliver and Rosa Akers McNeely. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Bert Bias; and sons, Ruford Manley and Paul Jarrell. She was a homemaker and a member of the Spencer United Methodist Church of Hewett. She is survived by one son, Tyrone Bias of Greenview; five daughters and their husbands, Rita and Phillip Burgess of South Charleston, Linda and George Martin of Tennessee, Diana and Jimmy Chambers of Hewett, Sue Ball of Chapmanville, Jane and Joe Ball of Ohio; three brothers, Charlie McNeely of South Charleston, Roy McNeely and his wife Beverly of Pennsylvania, and William McNeely and his wife Mary Jane of South Carolina; one sister, Laura Ball of South Carolina; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Stevens Funeral Home, Madison, with Earl Akers and the Rev. Stacy Dingess officiating. Burial will follow at Boone Memorial Park, Madison. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Stevens Funeral Home, Madison, is handling the arrangements.
