Description	:	Willie Harvey McNeely, 83, of Orangeburg, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 21, 2014, at Wesley Chapel Church, St. Matthews, with the Reverend Kimmett Lott officiating. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, St. Matthews. Pallbearers will be Mark Holstein, Joseph Duncan, Tommy Corbett, Dave Bennett, Tripp Sikes, and Paul Inabinet. The family will receive friends at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, and all other times at the residence. Born on January 29, 1931 in Jeffery, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Oliver Riston McNeely and Rosa Akers McNeely. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a retired Coal Miner from Westmoreland Coal Company and a member of the United Mine Workers of America. Survivors include his wife Mary Jane Bell McNeely of the home; two daughters Rosa Ashby (Bill) of England and Karla Dyches of Elloree; two sons, Ronnie Lee McNeely of Orangeburg and William Robert McNeely (Pam) of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; a brother, Roy McNeely (Beverly), of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grand-daughter, Stacie Dyches and a great-grandson, Avery Bias. Memorials may be directed in Willie's memory to Wesley Chapel Men's Mission or Relay for Life.
