WARD STEVENSON OF RICHLAND DIES; FUNERAL WEDNESDAY Passes Away on Seventh Anniversary of Death of Her Father, Nov. 5 RICHLAND (Special to The Telegram) - Mrs. Ward Stevenson, 39, who resided on a farm two and one-half miles northwest of here, died at 11 p.m., Saturday, at Lutheran Good Samaritan hospital in Columbus, where she had been a patient for a week. Ill for the past three weeks, she was taken to the hospital for treatment for inflammatory rheumatism. Complications appeared during the last stages of her sickness, and her strength failed rapidly. Born as Miss Galatia Smith, Mar. 12, 1899, on a farm one and one-half miles north of here, she lived her entire life in this community. Her education was received at the Richland school, and after that she remained at her parental home until her marriage to Mr. Stevenson, Mar. 25, 1925. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Ward, jr., 10, and Thelin, 2; two daughters, Izetta, 9, and Arlene, 1; her mother, Mrs. Bertha Smith of Schuyler, and a brother, Delatus Smith of Richland. Her death occurred on the seventh anniversary of her father's death Nov. 5, 1931. Funeral services will be held at 1 p. m., Wednesday, at the family home, and at 2 p. m. at the Presbyterian church in Schuyler, with Rev. W. White, pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in the Schuyler cemetery (sic).
