The daughter of Jacob and Anna Urech Glur, she was born Aug. 15, 1886 in Columbus and was graduated from the Columbus public schools in 1909. After teaching rural school three years, she completed her education at Kearney State College, graduating in 1914, then taught conversational German in the grade school for two years. In 1916 she married Gideon Braun of the Gruetli community. They made their home on a farm east of Columbus until 1942, when they retired to 1052 21st Avenue. After Mr. Braun's death in 1965 she continued to reside in Columbus until 1969, when she moved to the home of her daughter in Papillion. In failing health the last six months, she died Monday at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. John (Helen) Schack of Papillion; two grandchildren, Gregory, John and S_____.
