Kindered, A. C. Schroeder, Dr. J.H. DeGeest, Mike Alley, Ray Magness and Lewis Borkhuis. The greater part of Miss Moore's life was spent in Miller. She was born October 6, 1884 to Mr. and Mrs. James Moore at Bethany, Ill., where she grew up. With her parents, sisters and brothers, she came to Miller in 1908. For a number of years she was employed in the former Bohning Bros. General Store, and later became a seamstress for WPA projects. For several years she was employed in the alteration department of the Quality Cleaners, and later continued her work in her own home. For years she and her sisters lived in the cottage which was later purchased by Hand County and on which Memorial Hospital is now located. Following the death of her sisters, she continued to make her home there until her retirement in 1963 when she entered a nursing home in Lake Preston. Five years ago she moved to the nursing home in Lake Preston. She was a lifetime member of the Presbyterian Church and took an active part in many church affairs. Miss Moore was the last member of a family of ten, and her survivors are two nieces, Mrs. Ted Leckey and Mrs. Herbert Harris, both of De Smet, and four nephews, Stewart, James and Alfred Moore, De Smet, and Floyd Moore, Iroquois. Her parents, four brothers and five sisters preceded her in death.
