Born April 2, 1894, in Winfield, she was the daughter of John and Viola Bell Hannah. She married Harry McDowell April 23, 1916, in Morning Sun. He died May 18, 1948. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lois Seitz of Yucca Valley, California; one son, Robert L. McDowell of Fayetteville, Georgia; one sister, Mrs. Esther Richardson of Crawfordsville; 18 grandchildren and several great - grandchildren. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 Thursday at the... The service for Mrs. McDowell will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Elliott Chapel in New London with Mr. Robert Dameron officiating. Burial will be in East Salem Cemetery. A memorial to the Nugen Library in New London has been established.
